Mobile Hog Roast
Our pigs are reared on a farm in Lincolnshire and are butchered just 30 minutes away in a local abattoir which assures animal welfare and care is of the highest standard, this is extremely important to us and we know most of our clients will want this too, this also means that the pork will be of the best quality and taste, they are then supplied direct to us by our high class local family butcher and collected in our temperature controlled fridge van.
Our whole pig hog roasts (excluding the head) are cooked slowly in the mobile hog roast oven to maintain the moisture and flavour in the meat, this is done at our premises over many, many hours.
The mobile hog roast oven is then loaded into one of our vans with all the necessary ancillary equipment, on arrival approximately 1 hour before your chosen service time the gas hog roast oven will be lit to maintain the required temperature, each hog roast comes as standard with a covered 1.8m serving table, serving staff hand wash unit, 3m x 3m gazebo/tent and light (should the weather be inclement), we just ask to place our electric extension lead into a 13amp domestic socket to boil a kettle or fry a vegetarian patty, should an electric supply not be available we can bring all gas appliances, but sorry no light .
A minimum of two personal will come with the hog roast, a chef to carve and an assistant to serve your guests, more service staff will always be allocated for larger hog roasts.
The service time for our first size hog roast (up to 100 guests) is 1 hour more time is always given if the guests are still coming up to be served, it will then be cleared and taken away by us we do not leave out unused meat, but if you can provide a dish to place in your fridge we will leave some meat, stuffing and bread rolls should there be any left.
We also can roast lambs in our ovens each lamb will feed around 60 served in a bread roll, sides of locally reared beef are also available.
A selection of Lincolnshire sausages, specialty burgers, regular beef burgers and sausages are available served from our mobile barbecue or alongside a hog roast.
